How to train your dog not to bark

Literally THOUSANDS of you have requested this video! Unwanted barking is the reason so many people give up on a dog. Share this video so that more people know how to handle this easy to correct issue.

In my research before making this video, I discovered so many videos offering some pretty questionable advice and some downright bad advice. When I found decent videos almost all of them included one type of unwanted barking and one dog.

This video includes lots of different examples and varied advice for different situations, including what to do when your dog will not respond to you even if you have treats.

Does your dog bark people, dogs, other animals? Does your dog bark when you are walking? Does your dog bark when you leave? There is no need to use punishment to teach your dog to not bark. Adopt an attitude of patience and you’ll fix this in no time at all!

What do you want my next video to be about?
A) Unwanted Jumping
B) Staying at the front door so that your dog doesn’t run into the street

Have one little rascal adopted out of really weird circumstances. Former owners walked around town on New years Eve asking random ppl to please take him. After one merciful lady took him in that day, afraid otherwise he would end up in the woods, we adopted him. He’s a handful. He had never learned to sleep enough, he didn’t know a single command, despite being a clever one, he would walk on two legs, jumping into his leash while walking and he barked at everything and nothing. Two years in, he now sleeps more than the initial max 5 h a day, appr. 9-10, still not enough, he learned commands, tricks and gained trust, as he does not try to run away anymore, at rly any occasion. He learned to walk on all four legs and not to jump into his leash all the time (that is still work in progress). Biggest remaining problem is his constant barking! We know next to nothing about his past. He almost flips when my family hugs each other, he barks when it’s bed time and certain household items are his mortal enemies, such as the electric pepper mill. It’s nothing compared to when we got him, but, we’re at our wit’s end. We send him to his place, to calm down, make him sit and praise him for stopping to bark. There is so much improvement on his side, but we hit a point where there is next to no further improvement going on. How to further train him not to bark?
