Thank you for this video! My dog is a golden retriever mix rescued from a hoarder situation and he’s extremely food aggressive. He even gets upset when we kennel him while we are cooking or eating…growling and snarling at my husband. At first we thought he was hurting somewhere but after the vet cleared him…Charlie bit our 13 year old daughter because she got to close to him while eating. We’ve had him for 4 years now and this is the 1st time he’s ever bit anyone…he only likes our immediate family and tolerates my mom when she comes but outside of that the vet doesn’t even have a chance…So now we are going to be working on these great tips…and maybe some progress will happen…🙏 🙏 🙏 I love my baby boy and I don’t wanna stop fighting for him…but I cannot have him hurting our kid again. So prayers this will work.

Our dog doesn’t get distracted with treats or any other “better” food when resource guarding. She WILL eat/break whatever she’s holding before getting the treat you’re offering. So now i dont know what to do 🙃

Gotta learn this before I get my rottie been researching a lot but it will be my first dog so Im kinda worried as everyone says it’s not a good first dog but I have a feelings if I train it right it thinks of me as the alpha and u give it a loving home I’ll be okay

What do you mean “luring him away a be potentially dangerous”? That’s what you did earlier in the video before the peanut butter, when you were showing us how to lure him away.
